The finished DPS and Origional copy of DPS Text

The image above is my double page spread, this sticks to the house style as it uses the same colours and text throughout. The image portraits the name of the band very well as it suggests 'Havoc' this will appeal to my target audience and it will also link in well with the genre of my magazine.

Origional Copy of DPS Text

New band Havoc is the band to go see this year, they have fused together rock and dubstep to create a totally unique sound which makes them so fresh and amazing. Their debut single ‘distortion’ has won the no.1 spot in the charts after been available for download for 3 days we got a chance to talk to Paul Shilcock a member of Havoc who said ‘I was surprised but happy that so many people liked our music, I can’t wait to tour and meet some of our fans’. Havoc started as a band in Pauls studio shed where they mainly played indie music and wore their granddads jumpers but then they had an epiphany and found there new love for electronics and dubstep but to stay as a band they decided to fuse rock and dubstep so they could remain as a 4 piece band.‘To start off with we did band nights in our local but no one really seemed to like us or our sound, often we were told to give up and change but we stuck at it’. Havoc were signed at the end of 2011 to ‘Hopeless records’ which fellow friends ‘Enter Shikari’ are signed too, this could be a major stepping stone for them as they have went from bars to venues like the o2 academy. Havoc are planning to release their album ‘wobwobwob’ next month and if it is anything like their no.1 single we can expect great things from them, also Paul hinted at a possible tour following the album after he said ‘I can’t wait to finish the album and hopefully get touring’ we asked which country’s he wants to tour the most, ‘I know I want to tour the UK again but I’d love to go on warp tour just for the amazing variety of bands that are there it’s a chance to meet and see some of the bands we love and also expand our fan base globally.’ Recently the band just came off a tour supporting ‘Enter Shikari’ a band that are almost in the same category, we talked to lead singer Rou who told us ‘We wanted Havoc on tour with us just for the mayhem they cause everywhere they go, we also wanted to introduce this great fans to Havoc and convert them to this great band’ we told Havoc what Rou had said and Paul responded by saying ‘thank you coming from a band we all grew up loving that means the world to us and we’d love to tour with them again’Havoc’s debut album ‘wobwobwob’ it’s all stores April 20th I suggest you go and pick a copy up asap this is album of the year in my eyes and I’ll fight anyone who says it isn’t, look out for them touring this year and next they are amazing live and well worth your money.
